Common defective workout equipment

On Behalf of Rosenberg, Eisenberg & Associates, LLC | March 23, 2023 | Product Liability

Workout equipment is supposed to be in good working condition to help us get in better shape and keep a healthy lifestyle. When it is designed, it needs to be done so in a proper manner to prevent injuries. The equipment must be properly designed and tested, come with clear safety warnings, and be assembled correctly.

Workers or third parties must routinely inspect and maintain the machinery and equipment. All manufacturer's limits and restrictions must be visible, and safety guards must always be present. Injuries can occur when a gym or fitness center fails to do so, and they will be held liable if the patron is injured.

We can help you seek compensation after suffering an injury due to dangerous or defective gym equipment:

  • Treadmills

  • Elliptical machines

  • Weight machines

  • Failure of weight locks

  • Leg press machines

  • Benches

  • Stationary bikes

If you or a loved one has been injured while using what you believe to be defective workout equipment, you may have the right to recover compensation for your injuries.
